Something I have learned over the past few years.....

Post by Hallco »

I almost NEVER see any of the cards in my collection on social media posts! That means I either have super rare "fire bruh" kinda stuff.....or a bunch of junk that no one cares anything about! I'm good either way! ;)

I used to enjoy collecting the more obscure stuff, unfortunately with the influx of profiteers over the past decade+, what was once obscure is now hyper inflated in perceived value.

I’m still chasing some of the obscure at one point, but more recently hyped, cards to try and finish team sets. However, only if one goes under the radar on eBay or some random guys story sale on IG. I’ve mostly moved on when they hit IG “look at me” status.

Good examples are late 90’s Star Rubies. Maybe I’m misremembering, but I feel like those were never really a big thing until people got priced out of PMGs. I feel the same about Flair legacy this past year or two. Those are another late 90’s team set chase for me that luckily I’ve almost fully completed. They seem to have calmed down a bit in recent months though, thankfully.

Lately I’ve been looking into 2000’s era parallels. Like random UD foil parallels /25 that nobody will ever hype. Harder to find, but definitely a fun chase. Lots of cool stuff that decade.
Always looking for high end Nuggets cards, current players and Rare 90's/00's!
