Big Dumb Purchases

Does anyone else get super excited about the season and just start making "big" "dumb" purchases? I know those terms are relative to our individual budgets and financial situations, so that's why I put them in quotations.


Here are my 2 BIG DUMB purchases as I got super excited for the season to start. I can at least say that these two are centerpieces for my Pacers collection and commemorate the most enjoyable season I've experienced as an adult.

I've made some big buys recently, but they're not related to the modern day NBA at all. Those are some SICK pickups though. Panini really went out with a bang. I'll be sharing my stuff soon, probably in a separate thread as not to hijack the topic here...but just wanted to say, those pickups are abso-freaking-lutely STELLAR.

The majority of my collecting is in the shallow end of the card pool, and not worth a whole lot, but I do remember spending WAY too much on a jersey #'d Mason Plumlee(probably the only card of his I own) after a game one night just because he blocked what would have been a game winning shot by Lebron to end the game. How dumb is that!

Great cards man! I've been going after this years flawless as well. They did a really great job IMO.
