Definitely collect Sonics also. I had a ton of his rare Blazers and Magic cards as well, I basically had all of his cards before I sold off most of it.

The Net Effect insert set is right on the edge, 99/00 release, but I still really like them. Especially since they can still be purchased for pretty cheap. Kobe was the last one I needed, just landed it a few months ago. It'll likely be cracked and put into a binder I just need to figure out what else is going in there..

Hey guys!! Its been a minute. Ive been reading the topics on the board for a while. Been in and out of the collecting hobby for the past 5 yrs. I cashed out back in 2020/21. Kept a bunch then got hit with a life changing critical ilness. Had some time and kind of creeping back into the hobby to keep myself busy.
I took a chance and posted here to get into the community, especially this one.

Ive noticed that I have alot of odd low end semi rare stuff or alteast cards that dont show up often of players that are collected by many dedicated player collectors. I want to post them and maybe work on trading myself up to things I like helping both parties.

This was the card i posted. Ive had the entire set or I believe the complete set in my collection for a while. Had no information on it outside that I had to take it from someone who couldnt fulfill their end of a deal.

I'm going to infer you're doing better now? Hopefully that's the case. This is a great place, I think once more people get set up on here as they grow sick and tired of the trash on social media, it'll be a bumpin' forum. I also cashed out on a lot of stuff that I was never going to work on or finish due to prices, but did keep a lot of cards.

I think I remember these being artist proof / signature type cards, I think maybe the photographer signed these? Correct me if I'm off. One of our local Duncan guys would probably have more insight.

Glad to have you on the boards man! Sorry to hear about your illness. I hope you’re doing better.

Like Abra mentioned, I do think these were the artist/designer autos on those cards. I’ll do some more research into it and confirm if I can.

Smart to cash out at that time, I honestly should've sold of my best stuff too. Would've been able to buy "most" of it all back for a song.
The recent runup feels similar. And I will make the same mistake of not selling again. Ha.

I mainly collect and have always collected Kobe low end. On that note, its all on hold with his prices being the way they are. Now that card shows are more frequent locally, Im thinking about turning over my inventory looking for low end to set up at local shows just for hobby time. Time spent with my nephews at a table to get them into the hobby. They already collect one piece, but I want them to experience the network/trading aspect of building the intangible experiences of communicating.

Ill start a new thread with some of the odd stuff I have the hopefully can help the players collectors and get me back into the game!
