Re: Rovell: "NFLPA Cancels Panini Deal, Giving Fanatics Exclusive Rights 3 Years Early"

In my mind it is only a matter of time before we see similar moves in respect of the NFL, NBA & NBPA. They after all are equity shareholders in Fanatics Trading card company, that Panini decided to sue!

Every large corporation has a ‘strategy’ department/division, that is responsible for looking ...

Re: Card Storage/Organising?

I am also intrigued how others store / organise their collection; so it feels appropriate to share my approach!

First up is my binders. For a good portion of my collecting life, I was a bachelor living in a one bedroom London apartment; so I had to keep things pretty tidy / organised. I simply did ...

Re: Panini files antitrust lawsuit against Fanatics

I posted this on 'the other forum that shall not be named' but for me the most interesting thing about the lawsuit, is that it gives an insight into Panini's operations / production chain and why their release schedule has not recovered post the pandemic. The lawsuit describes how Panini has for a ...

Re: Lenticular cards. Post them.

I have recently started a little player PC of Chauncey Billups, in order that I can build a binder of cool lower-end cards that do not fit into my the main part of my collection. This card from 2009-10 Upper Deck 3D Stars turned up today and ticks the lenticular box in a big way!

Re: 2022-23 Chronicles is Live

As someone who started out set collecting in the mid-1990s, I do not think I will ever get used to looking at a checklist which has over 10,000 lines on it!

Re: Let's apprciate the 90s low-mid end Parallels

The 1990s was when I started collecting and now that prices have returned to resemblance of normality, I have found myself of late reliving back into that part of my collection. I am currently plugging the gaps in insert sets that I never fully completed; but have also started to re-visit releases I ...

Re: Let’s See Those Jersey #’d Cards

Whenever this question pops up, two cards in my collection come to mind. The first is an 06-07 Exquisite Patch Auto card featuring that I picked up a dozen or so years ago on the old Hobby Kings board.

The second is a an 07-08 Ultimate Collection Commitment Lebron James ...

Oh god, I hope I am not too guilty of this!

Is a couple of paragraphs like this OK? :?

Re: Other Than Cards, What Other Collectible Hobbys Do You Participate In?

There are some great other collectibles in here; but that is probably no surprise, as if you have the 'collecting gene' it is often difficult to keep it under control and limit to one particular item / product! ;)

Although I have been collecting sports cards since the 1990s, in reality it is my ...

Re: Cards that Got You into Collecting

Coming from the United Kingdom, trading cards were simply not a thing; they were just not available as they were in the U.S.A. For us it was all about stickers.

In 1978 (when I was a ten-year old) Panini launched the first self-adhesive stickers (before that you had to glue the stickers into an ...

From Hobby Kings...to Blowout...to The Hobby Boards!

I thought I would launch my account here, with an old fashioned mail-day post. My 25 year collection journey has evolved from collecting modern cards of active players, to focusing on modern cards of HOF to more recently heading down a vintage ...
